Mr. Hussain Fatmi is a Professor in School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, at Centennial College. Professor Fatmi earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Toledo Ohio, with thesis research work conducted at the U.S. space agency NASA. Professor Fatmi is a Certified Engineering Technologist by OACETT. His area of scholarly work includes co-authoring of the paper titled, "Secure and Cost Effective Remote Monitoring Health Guard System," accepted for publication in 2017 IEEE Canada International Humanitarian Technology Conference (IHTC). Professor Fatmi was a significant contributor to the original application for the renewal of Ministerial consent for the Honours Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer and Communication Networks) program and a curriculum developer for a number of courses in the program. He is involved in applied research through Centennial’s Applied Research, Innovation and, Entrepreneurship Services (ARIES) and has secured a NSERC grant for Wearable, Interactive, and Mobile Technologies Access Centre in Healthcare (WIMTACH).
