Samar Hamid

Program Coordinator (Office Administration, General, Executive, Health and Legal)

Samar has been in the administrative field for over a decade with experience from a wide range of industries; from legal to manufacturing to print media and even private education.

Mentorship has been a hallmark of Samar’s time teaching.  She is devoted to helping students navigate the rocky terrain of workplace culture. She even hosts debates on how to settle office disputes, the first of which will be held at the end of February 2018; her priority being to coach students on how to argue without ad hominem attacks.

Samar also co-founded the Office Admin book club called Beyond the Books, which, in addition to holding regular reviews of outstanding literature, organizes charitable events across the college.

In her academic career, Samar studied Urban Planning & Architecture at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and is currently pursuing the certificate in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education. Her passions include lexicography, paleontology, and classic civilizations.
