Flagpoling is the terminology used when a foreign national who is already in Canada leaves Canada at the Canadian/U.S. border and returns to Canada without crossing into the U.S. International students may use flagpoling to obtain a new immigration document such as a Co-op Work Permit or Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). This webinar will give you some basic information on what flagpoling is and how you can make use of flagpoling to facilitate your Co-op Work Permit/PGWP application at the border.
