Centennial Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Submissions

Why is Centennial College asking for my banking information?

Effective Summer 2020, all payments to students, including refunds, scholarships, and/or bursaries, will be processed electronically to your account at a Canadian bank through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). In order to receive your payment, you must sign up for EFT (direct deposit) and provide us with your banking information.

How can I enter my banking information in the College’s system?

Banking information will be collected through your myCentennial student portal. Information is stored in the College’s secured student system and is restricted to authorized employees only. Please do not email the College your banking information.

Follow the steps below to set up your banking information with the College or to update your record if there is a change to your banking information.

  1. Log in to myCentennial and select “Student”.
  2. Under "Student Services”, click on “Submit Banking Information”.
  3. Under “Accounts Payable Deposit”, click on “Add New”.
  4. Provide your banking information:
    • Enter Bank Routing Number (Bank Routing Number = 0 + Institution # + Transit #). Please DO NOT include spaces or special characters when entering the Bank Routing Number.
    • Enter Account Number. Please note that your bank account number is NOT your debit or credit card number. Your personal bank account number is 7 to 12 digits in length, and should NOT contain any spaces or special characters.
    • Select Account Type (Chequing or Savings).
    • Select the checkbox and click on "Save New Deposit".

Note: If you make a change to the “Account Type”, please ensure that you also select the checkbox and click on “Save Changes”.

For a visual guide, follow the steps in the EFT Direct Deposit Process to set up your banking information.

I am/was employed at the College. Is the EFT (direct deposit) process different from the process for other deposits?

If you have been employed at the College, the process for setting up direct deposit payments is separate from other deposits you have received from the Centennial College payroll system.

If you are/were a College employee, you will need to contact us directly to update your record if there has been a change to your banking information. You can contact us at any time by emailing accountsreceivable@centennialcollege.ca.

Where can I find my banking information?

If you have a printed cheque, your complete account information is found along the bottom. View the sample cheque image below as a guide:

If you do not have a printed cheque, most Canadian banks also enable you to retrieve direct deposit information once you have logged in to your account online.

If you are having difficulty locating this information, or you would like to confirm your banking information, please contact your financial institution directly.
