  • Director of Lands, Membership and Research for the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation since 1977.
  • Band Member of the First Nation
  • Has been public speaking on the history of the First Nation for years
  • Has 3 grown sons and 4 grandchildren.
  • Has lived on reserve for her entire life
  • Sits on various committees
  • Volunteers in the community
  • Co-founded the “New Credit Cancer Support Group” in 2017
  • Active in fundraising for various events and groups
  • Has successfully settled four land claims.
  • Has developed several booklets as a public education tool and completed a video of New Credit’s history.
  • 2012 -15 was given the task of “Duty to Consult” for the First Nation It was a new area for many First Nations.
  • In 2014, began working on the creation of a department to handle the Duty to Consult.
  • In January 2015 the Department of Consultation and accommodation (DOCA) opened its’ door.
  • December 2015, was elected as a Councillor for Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The term ended December 2017, returned to the position of Director of LMR.
  • Currently working on creating a Governance Unit, developing laws, and foundational work.
  • Graduated with honours from the Personal Support Worker Program in October 2009.
  • Works part-time as a PSW since 2009
  • Currently a volunteer for the Palliative Care team
  • Enjoys both of my careers very much, when not working enjoy reading, baking and just being home with my family.
