Open Houses can be a big part of your college journey, whether you’re still choosing a school or have already decided on Centennial College. During an Open House, you’ll learn about a school’s services, make connections with students and staff, and see how and where you’re going to learn. Since 2020, Centennial College has hosted our Open Houses virtually online, and we keep refining how we do them to give you the best Open House experience possible.
Our Spring 2022 Open House will take place on Saturday, April 3, with more “Spotlight” events on particular programs happening throughout April. Here’s what to expect and why you want to sign up, whether you’re a future student, thinking about becoming one, or just curious about college.
What to expect
We’ve created a special, easy-to-browse website, the Spring Open House Virtual Platform. In fact, it’s open right now, and if you sign up (all you need is a valid email and to create a password), you can get a sneak peek at videos and content about the College before the live part of the Open House even begins. Whether you’re a domestic or international student, there’s important info there for you, including virtual campus tours and virtual “booths” dedicated to specific areas of study. And when it’s time for the Virtual Open House, you can easily pop in and out of whatever sessions you want to go to. Speaking of those sessions…
It’s all about connecting you with Centennial’s students
Our Open House is all about making connections with the students you’ll be learning with, and hearing what makes Centennial great in their own words, which is why there will be discussion panels by students, for students, that focus on the activities and services that’ll matter to you. You’ll also get taken on a virtual tour, hosted by both a college guide and a student, again, so you can hear about what may be important to you.
It’s a focused event
We have live streams, along with some pre-recorded content on the day of the Open House in a simple, concise series of three sessions that run from 10 am to 12:30 pm, with separate sessions for domestic and international participants. Delivered by college guides, the sessions will tell you what services you can find at the College, your next steps in your application process, and more.
The House is staying Open
Events will continue past April 3! In the days and weeks following the Open House, it’ll be time to focus on the program you want to take through Academic School Spotlights. Centennial’s individual schools will host special sessions about the subjects they teach, and you’ll be able to see the classrooms, labs, hangars and other places you’ll be learning in, as well as connect with representatives from that school.
Our Virtual Open House homepage is open right now, with information you can read and watch at any time. If you’ve applied to Centennial, are thinking of joining us, or just want to see what all the fuss is about, you can sign up now, have a look around and come to the Open House on April 3. We hope to see you there!
