The GO-VAXX bus, a mobile vaccine clinic, is visiting our Morningside and Progress campuses this month to administer COVID-19 bivalent vaccines. These are drop-in clinics, so you don’t need an appointment:
Campus | Date | Time | Location |
---|---|---|---|
Morningside Campus | Wed, Nov 23 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Lower lot |
Progress Campus | Tues, Nov 29 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | In front of the Student Centre Building |
With COVID-19 on the rise and expected to spread further during the fall/winter, it’s important that we each do our part to be fully vaccinated. This includes getting a booster shot six months after you either had your last dose or a COVID-19 infection (or three months if you are at high risk of severe COVID-19 illness).
Why get a booster shot?
Protection after a primary series may decrease over time, especially against new variants. Booster doses help keep you protected from severe outcomes from the virus.
Tips:
- Bring your health card (or other form of government-issued photo ID)
- Eat and drink something before you arrive
- Dress for the weather in case there is a line-up
- Wear clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm
- Bring a mask
Please, do not visit the vaccine clinic if you have symptoms of COVID-19. If you think you may have COVID-19, go online to do a self-assessment.
