Summary
Love in the time of Corona is a series of panel discussions on strategies to maintain intimacy, personal connection, safety and wellbeing during the global pandemic. This initiative came out of a realization that public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are creating real challenges associated with the fundamental human need and desire for love, intimacy and connection. While loneliness, isolation, and disconnection have been common experiences for many in the context of the pandemic, each person’s unique circumstances, including their identities, relationship structure, living circumstances, sexual orientation, gender, and developmental histories play out in their unique challenges to maintain a connection. Join us for a raw and open dialogue on navigating Love in the Time of Corona with topics ranging from sex and physical intimacy, to community connection, to self-care and managing trauma responses during a pandemic. Panelists highlight intersectional, multi-faith, and multi-community approaches to exploring how we can create connections with ourselves and others during the global pandemic.
