A number of Centennial College programs are now part of the BringIT initiative, which integrates mobile devices and web-based technologies in the classroom to transform teaching and learning. This will ensure students are learning to use the latest technologies relevant to their future workplaces and career.
If your program is a part of BringIT, you’ll need to have consistent, reliable access to a mobile computing device which meets your program’s hardware and software requirements and regular access to an internet connection. A webcam (built-in or USB) is recommended.
High-speed broadband access (LAN, Cable or DSL) with a minimum 50 mbps download speed is highly recommended, though some courses may have more advanced system requirements. Visit the BringIT section on your program page to view your program’s technology requirements in detail.
Whether your program’s mobile computing device is a laptop, tablet or smartphone, BringIT will enhance your learning experience, increase your confidence, and foster better interactions with your peers and instructors. It will also make you less dependent on, on-campus computer lab spaces by giving you convenient access to the software, tools and library resources to support learning, anytime, anywhere.
Visit the BringIT section on your program page to view your program’s technology requirements in detail.
