The Alignment and Brakes Technician apprenticeship will offer you excellent working knowledge of Alignment, Suspension and Brake systems. An Alignment and Brake Technician inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical/electronic controls, suspension systems and frames, braking systems, tires, wheels, hubs and axles, and alignments.
To be eligible for the Alignment and Brakes Technician apprenticeship program, you must currently be employed as an apprentice.
An Alignment and Brakes Technician apprenticeship includes two levels of theoretical and practical training which must be successfully completed. Courses include:
- Workplace health and safety
- General shop practices
- Suspension systems
- Brake systems
- Frames
- Steering systems
- Tires, wheels, hubs
- Alignment

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent is required for all apprenticeship programs. You cannot apply directly to the college or to Ontariocolleges.ca for admission to this apprenticeship program. How to Apply
You cannot apply directly to the College for admission to a traditional apprenticeship. To attend apprenticeship training, you must be employed at a shop and registered as an apprentice for this trade. When it is your time, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Development will invite you to attend in school apprenticeship training.

The EOCC can refer registered apprentices to the service delivery office who serves their catchment area or refer interested individuals to the closest apprenticeship office.
