The Ford Motor Company of Canada has been producing automobiles in Canada since 1904 and is still recognized as one of most successful automakers on the planet, which is why becoming a Ford Automotive Service Technician is a solid career move. If you want to stand out and prove that you’re serious about that career path, Centennial’s Automotive Service Technician Ford Asset (MAP 32) will position you for success by giving you more than traditional apprenticeship programs.

The Centennial College School of Transportation houses the largest transportation training hub in Ontario, and its program certificates and diplomas are highly respected within the industry. The Automotive Service Technician Ford Asset (MAP 32) program is longer and more robust than traditional apprenticeship programs and was created to give you an outstanding start to your career. Our top-tier instructors will not only provide you with the essential theory and necessary base of knowledge to become a service technician, but will provide you with technique and technology specific to Ford with an emphasis on electronics and the diagnosing of vehicle management systems.

In this program, you will alternate between the college and your employer every four weeks for a total of 64 weeks (32 weeks with each). During the 32 weeks of in-class training, your studies are tailored to Ford's latest lineup and all aspects of each vehicle's technology. As a result, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the electronics and vehicle management systems of one of North America's most respected and legendary brands.

You will learn above and beyond the required base of knowledge in a classroom setting; you will get intensive training on Ford components in our shops and labs, and you will put that training to use in a real-world shop setting with your employer. You may be eligible for employment insurance during the in-class training, and will receive pay from your Ford employer during the apprenticeship aspect of the offering.

Centennial College School of Transportation automotive programs are well-known and highly respected throughout the industry. Graduates of the Automotive Service Technician Ford Asset (MAP 32) program will not only fulfill the educational requirements of their apprenticeship but will gain valuable (and paid) training credits at the same time. The additional knowledge and training you receive from this program will demonstrate to any employer that you’ve gone above and beyond the requirements of your apprenticeship and will make you a stand-out at your level.
