Description

In this course, students will explore contemporary issues in hospitality and tourism from a policy, economic development and sustainability perspective through the eyes of various stakeholders. Specific emphasis will require students to develop a deep understanding of the socio-economic and environmental impacts of tourism as well as form and debate informed opinions on a variety of responsible tourism subjects. Students will critically analyze emerging tourism issues through the perspectives of tourism relationships between stakeholders, exploring the processes of policy and planning at the local and global levels.
