Description | This course is design to allow students to enhance their learnt knowledge from level one Engine. They will gain a firm understanding on the principle and operation of the cylinder head and valve train systems and the diesel engine cylinder block assembly. Students will gain extensive knowledge on how to perform inspections, testing and follow diagnostic procedures on diesel engine cylinder heads and valve trains and the engine cylinder block assembly. Although Diesel fuel is most prevalent in this field, gasoline and alternate fueled engine is still found in the industry. For this reason students will study the purpose and fundamentals of gasoline and alternate fuel engines and compare the result with diesel engines. They will study the operating principles of these engines. They will also learn how to identify the different types of engines and how to inspection, test and diagnose or recommend diagnostic procedures on gasoline and alternate fuel engines. |
