Description

This course is design to introduce students to the diesel fuel systems. Students will learn about the properties of diesel fuel and its relation to gasoline. They will discuss the evolution of diesel fuel and how it’s changes has affected the engine and the environment. In understanding how diesel fuel is delivered to the engine, students will be able to map and explain the purpose of each component of the fuel system. Students will learn about fuel metering and fuel timing. They will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of fuel metering and fuel timing on the engine and the environment. Students will able to diagnose and repair various problems as it relates to the engine fuel system and its components.
