Steering Suspension & Brake Systems

Description

The students will learn about the braking system, tire and wheel assembly and the suspension system found on a heavy duty truck or coach. Students will learn about the different functions, construction, composition, and styles of air brake systems. Students will be taught how to inspect, diagnose and repair the braking system using the recommended procedures. The students will learn about the different styles of tire and wheel assemblies. They will learn about different wheel end assemblies as well as how to how to inspect, diagnose and repair the different types of wheel assembly systems using the recommended procedures. Students will study the different types of suspension system, their advantages and disadvantages as well as the functions, construction, composition, types, styles and application. Students will also be able to inspect, diagnose and repair or recommend repair of different types of suspension system.
