| Description | This course provides an overview of the theory, principles and practices for the specialized skill of writing for museum exhibitions. Through readings, discussion with experts and experiential learning, students will learn the diversity of needs labels must address to effectively communicate with the broad range of museum visitors. Through activities and assignments, students will practice planning, outlining, drafting, critiquing and revising text intended for a variety of label types and contexts; they will also evaluate their effectiveness. |
