| Description | This course will provide an in-depth analysis of LAN design, installation and management. LAN design will focus on the technical aspects of Ethernet, Token Ring and FDDI. The installation section will cover how to implement a LAN, including selection of interface cards, cabling types and network servers. The management section will describe setting up user accounts and security, file server directory structures and print servers. Prerequisite: CETE-915 or by permission of the department |
