Description

Students will develop an understanding of structures, as applied to Architectural Design, utilizing steel and concrete design. The basic structural elements will be investigated along with the required load analysis utilizing standard force diagrams and formulas. Based on knowledge previously acquired in Physics and Structures 1, students will develop mechanical models necessary for design and analysis of structural elements. Using Standards, Codes and industry design tables, students will apply the knowledge towards a final project. 
Class attendance is essential for successful completion of this course.
