| Description | In this course, students will learn with the necessary skills to utilize the CATIA software to effectively generate complex three-dimensional models. Students will also learn about the industrial standards used in developing proper engineering assembly drawings, as well as the techniques employed in generating true three-dimensional representations of any mechanical component. Assemblies will be constructed for kinematic mechanism analysis. Students will learn about advanced surfacing techniques suitable for aerodynamic analysis, as well as an introduction to applying static finite element analysis. Students will also be introduced to the subject of tool design, along with the fundamental concepts of design with respect to milling fixtures, holding fixtures, and assembly fixtures. |
