Description | Lecture: This course prepares the trainee for the Transport Canada Airline Pilot Licence (APL) examination. Trainees will develop in depth knowledge of high-altitude weather, advanced aircraft aerodynamics and jet aircraft performance. Instrument procedures used in commercial operations are covered using practical scenarios to enhance trainee comprehension and prepare them for high performance and/or jet aircraft flying. Lab: (Multi-Crew Co-operation Training) Activities include development of knowledge and skills to an airline First Officer standard for commercial operations. All training will be conducted in a transport category multi-engine aircraft FTD – including the use of LOFT and scenario-based training to enhance CRM skills in a commercial environment involving passengers, flight attendants, and company operations. Trainees will complete training in the Captain, First Officer, PF and PNF positions. Trainee's will have the opportunity to complete the Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence exams and successfully complete the Multi-crew Co-operation Validation flight.
