A vehicle can be narrowed down to its many sub-systems. It is at the chassis where most of the systems responsible for allowing the driver to steer and brake safely are located.

This course will examine how hydraulic and electrical power is used to provide assist to modern steering systems. Through theoretical and practical instruction techniques, operation and inspection of power steering components will be discussed along with specialized tools and equipment required for the testing, servicing, and adjustment of pump and gear units.
