Analog and Digital Signal Processing

Course Code ETEC-301
Lecture hours per week 3
Lab hours per week 1
Course Availability: Open

This theory and lab course introduces the students to the fundamental principles and theorems concerning the analysis of systems and signals. Time-domain and frequency-domain signals are transformed and circuit analysis is presented from a systems point of view. Differential Equations are used to describe the time-domain circuit behavior. The Fourier Transform is used for the frequency-domain treatment of circuits. A section on active filters is used to illustrate the practical applications of system design. A numerical computing environment (such as MatLab or SciLab) is used extensively to support the course topics.
