| Description | This course stresses fundamental knowledge of the structure (bones, joints, muscles, organ systems) and function (mechanisms by which the body works) of the human body ranging from the cellular level to an examination of various organ systems, with an emphasis on the muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous, endocrine and skeletal systems. Topic areas covered will include energy metabolism, physiology of muscle contraction and basic chemistry. |
