| Description | This course examines the theoretical and practical considerations underlying ethical engagement with diverse, oppressed, or at-risk communities and focuses on ethics of the sector. This course also addresses issues of appropriation, sustainability, program authenticity, power dynamics, permission and the kind of responsibility one has to the work beyond the individual project. In this course, students will examine the differences between a community voice and a professional voice, and explore opportunities for activism within the sector. |
