| Description | Applicants to the Personal Support Worker programs must complete this diagnostic English literacy test as an admission requirement. To determine your current English writing skills, we ask you to write an essay from a choice of topics provided. The topics require you to draw on your own experiences. You will be expected to present an opinion about the topic and support it with information. The use of a dictionary is allowed so please bring one with you.
To register for the assessment of your skills, please call (416) 289-5300. We will assign a student number to you (if you don’t already have one), book your assessment appointment from the choice of dates below, and accept your assessment payment of $25 if you are paying by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Should you wish to pay by cash, cheque or Interac Debit, you may do so in the Office of the Registrar.
Before the assessment test you will have a program information/interview session with the faculty. The session takes approximately 2 hours and is held in room 2091 at Warden Woods.
