| Description | In this course, students will learn how to conduct audits, objectively examine the findings and critically assess the areas of non-compliance related to occupational health and safety. Students will learn how to systematically and critically evaluate an organization’s occupational health and safety management system. They will learn to apply the stages of an audit, the scope of an audit and the preparation involved in conducting audits. They will learn about the differences between internal and external audits. They will learn the basics of International Organization for Standardization ISO 19011 guidelines for auditing management system and the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems to conduct audits of occupational health and safety management systems. Students will learn how to write audit reports and make recommendations based on their findings. |
