Avionics Systems

Description

This introduction to avionics systems is designed to provide an awareness of avionics systems to learners with no previous exposure to avionics, navigation and aircraft indication systems. The student will learn the fundamentals of radio theory as they apply to aircraft navigation and communications systems. M1 and M2 cockpit instrument panels will be used to familiarize the learner with the appearance, nomenclature, and basic purpose of the standard flight and engine instruments and indicators. Proper selection and use of hand tools and test equipment associated with avionics maintenance will be explained and all appropriate standard practices and safety procedures will be followed. All appropriate safety precautions, moral, and legal requirements will be practiced while completing the performance objectives.
