This course will assist first-semester students in their successful transition to the School of Business at Centennial College by giving them an opportunity to build their skill sets and enhance their ability to achieve their academic, career and personal goals.
This course was designed to help students achieve mastery of college-level learning skills, attitudes and strategies that they will need to be successful in their academic and professional/business careers. Emphasis will be on the development of effective use of college resources, research techniques, professional writing, group management, presentation skills, and Canadian cultural business norms and behaviours.
Topics will include the following: active listening, communications (both oral and written), use of college resources, membership on a team, and research techniques (on-line).
