Beverage Knowledge and Service contributes a solid foundation for anyone interested in pursuing employment in a licensed establishment. The course is designed to give the learners a general understanding of the three basic categories of alcoholic beverages: wines, spirits and beers. The focus is on the historical, geographic and varietal development of each alcohol. The student will learn how to dispense a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They will learn how to follow standardized drink recipes and, use the correct sequences, techniques, garnishes and appropriate glassware.
