Description | This is the introductory Biology course for students in the Laboratory Assistant, Industrial program. Students study the biology of the cell, including molecular makeup and activities of specialized cells in tissues. Metabolic activities of eukaryotic cells that create or use energy are studied. The relationship of cells to higher levels of complexity in organisms is reviewed. Students learn to use common biological laboratory techniques and equipment in laboratory exercises to attain a level of competency equivalent to that achieved in BI-111. |
