This course examines the essential elements of bringing a product to market and supporting the product through its commercial life. We first examine the change Medical/Scientific market to increase a Company's and product's chance of success. The student will gain some understanding of Health Technology Assessments as used by many government and purchasing organizations. The student will then be given the opportunity to develop their own products using needs analysis, Intellectual property reviews, basic design and manufacturing, and prototyping. The course will then introduce the basic principles of Marketing, Sales and Service. At the end of the course the student will have completed a business plan for the product that they have developed.
