| Description | The first part of a two semester biomedical engineering capstone project course that requires students to apply their accumulated knowledge, experience and expertise in biomedical engineering technology to research and develop a practical, open-ended design project. This course also provides the students with a fundamental knowledge of Project Management. Topics covered will include project goals and scope, project time and budget planning, project risk management, as well as quality control and statistical process control. The course will enhance the skills of biomedical technologists in areas of organization, new product development, project life cycle management to successful implementation of their design project and industry collaboration. |
