| Description | This course develops speaking skills essential for academic success. Lessons focus on multiple functions of spoken English, including making presentations, and asking and responding about familiar topics. To develop clearer communication, aspects of English pronunciation are taught and practiced through in-class and on-line activities. Classes also develop skills necessary for academic success in college such as the ability to follow instructions, think critically, and work effectively individually, in pairs and in small groups. |
