| Description | This course engages students to explore their passion to inspire their commitment to pursuing entrepreneurship as a career path. They will identify and hone their leadership, planning, marketing and communications skills required to succeed in running their own businesses. Students will gain an understanding of the complexities of the increasingly competitive marketplace, and begin working on the critical thinking skills required to function effectively as entrepreneurs. Students will prepare a plan to engage with the community to identify gaps in services, collaborate on innovative solutions, and propose ideas to address real-world challenges, using holistic approaches to business development and community engagement. Students will work towards serving as high performing employees in small to medium-sized business as foundational and/or in preparation for self-employment.
