| Description | This course introduces Software students to the business, innovation, and entrepreneurship concepts needed to identify, evaluate, and communicate software product and technology venture opportunities. Students examine how software products, AI-enabled solutions, and digital services create value for organizations, users, and society across different industries and business sectors. Topics include entrepreneurship, business models, Lean Canvas, opportunity analysis, customer and market research, feasibility analysis, product development, rapid prototyping, minimum viable products, intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, business ethics, social responsibility, marketing, financing, legal forms of organization, and business pitching. Students also use AI-assisted practices to support market research, ideation, rapid prototyping, business model development, competitive analysis, financial planning, documentation, and presentation preparation while maintaining accuracy, originality, ethical judgment, and professional responsibility. Working collaboratively, students develop and present a business plan proposal for a software product, AI-enabled solution, or technology start-up venture. |
