Description
Cad/Cam Horizontal is a fourth semester course in the Cad/Cam Technician Program. This course instructs the student in the preparation and delivery of CNC programs with respect to a four axis Horizontal Machining Centre. Starting with manual programming and advancing to a full Cad/Cam system (Mastercam), the student will prepare programs, ranging from simple centre line parts to complex offset contours with pocketing. Emphasis is placed on all aspects of ‘machining’ in the Cad/Cam lab and at machine source when ‘proving the part’.
