Description
Students build on their fundamental design skills to generate a variety of product designs using a state of the art CAD software system. They will also generate efficient CNC programs to manufacture these products using a state of the art CAM software system. This course instructs the student in the preparation and delivery of CNC programs with respect to a CNC Turning Centre (3 Axis). The students will develop fully documented CNC programs for machined parts of varying complexity. The methods of instruction will be topical lectures and “hands on” demonstrations at the computer workstations and at the CNC Lathe to actually manufacture projects.
