Description
CadCam Vertical is a fourth semester course in the Mechanical Technician-Tool & Die/ CadCam Program. This course instructs the students in the preparation and delivery of CNC programs with respect to a CNC Machining Centre (3 axis vertical). Using the Mastercam software the students will develop fully documented CNC programs for machined parts of varying complexity. These parts will range from simple 2D contours to complex offset contours with pocketing and “drill like operations’. The students will ‘prove’ their respective programs using the Mastercam software and at the machine source (3 axis CNC M/C Center). The method of instruction will be topical lectures and “hands-on” demonstrations at the computer workstation.
