| Description | The purpose of this course is to introduce students to Wire EDM technology. This fast growing technology has become an indispensable tool in the tool and die and moldmaking industries. Using the powerful CADCAM software Mastercam 8.1.1 for Wire, students learn how to generate wirepaths and post process to produce parts of increasing complexity starting with simple 2D wirepaths to more complex parts with taper and 4 axis components. Students learn how to setup and operate a Wire EDM machine and control. |
