Description | This course aims to help students navigate a career as an artist-educators and/or community artist, identifying, analyzing and differentiating diverse arts education and community programs, structures and models currently in operation. Students will review various models of arts education and community arts engagement, while also attending lectures and talk back sessions with professionals in arts education. This course also features regular site visits, where students will spend time with existing community arts and arts education professionals. Students will be expected to explore a field placement partner, to prepare career tools, and to identify ways of individualizing applications of coursework across the program.
This course includes a weekly tutorial on professional communications facilitated by the Centre for Academic English. This tutorial provides students with access to resources, coaching, and support that will help them fine-tune written assignments and advance their individual writing skills. |
