| Description | This course covers fundamental topics in chemistry necessary as a basis for more specialized courses in Biological and Environmental Technician and Technology programs. Typical topics include measurement conversions, atomic theory, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, gas laws, solutions, and acid/base titrations. Theory is presented in lectures and supported by laboratory sessions and films. This course is a combination of theory and practical labs. Attendance is essential for meeting the course outcomes. |
