Description

This course is designed for students in the Energy System Engineering Technician/Technology program to, learn basic chemistry, environmental issues, to evaluate and understand pollution and its impact on environment, economics, water resources, and climate. To familiarise with corrosion, industrial water treatment, related equipment used for the same purpose. To, understand the brief review of crude oil, its chemical nature, refining of the components and octane number. To analyse and evaluate, acid rain, smog, CFC’s, depletion of Ozone layer by the same and their environmental and economic impact.
