| Description | Tool & Fixture design is a third semester course in the CAD/CAM Technician Program. This course will introduce the student to the complex field of Tool Design. Emphasis is placed on Fixture Design with respect to CNC Machining Centres. This creative, problem solving course includes the generation of complete working drawings (using the AutoCAD software) for medium complex production parts. The method of instruction will be: topical lectures, discussion and ‘hands on’ design development at the computer work station. |
