| Description | This course emphasizes the communication skills required for success in academic and formal settings. A variety of communicative tasks are completed both in and outside of the classroom. The use of appropriate sociocultural, non-verbal behavior, clear pronunciation, and fluency is stressed. The listening tasks require students to apply listening skills to demonstrate comprehension of stated and implied messages from a variety of sources delivered at a moderately fast rate of speech. |
