| Description | Communication Skills is a full-semester course designed for pre-intermediate English language learners. Divided into two parts (Part A: Weeks 1-7 and Part B: Weeks 8-14), the course focuses on building effective listening and speaking strategies through themed units. Students will practice extracting main ideas and key information from listening passages and videos, while improving their ability to communicate in everyday social and educational contexts. In Part A (Places; Festivals and Celebrations), students will be engaged to clarify meaning, share opinions and conduct research, culminating in an informative presentation. In Part B (Sports and Competition; People), students will describe processes, solve problems and discuss priorities through an informative presentation. To connect classroom learning with real-world practice, students will participate in experiential field trips, providing authentic opportunities to use English in community settings. |
