| Description | This online course provides students with a strong foundation in the guiding principles, values and goals that shape the current practice of community health promotion. Students will explore individual, community and policy level interventions that are effective in promoting behaviours and social conditions conducive to health. The significant role that public health departments play in addressing health disparities in diverse settings and vulnerable populations will be examined, along with the impact of grassroots initiatives and grant writing in advocating for, and shaping community health programs. |
