| Description | This course addresses the increasingly important requirement of controlling the data content of network traffic, and the management of available bandwidth. The dangers of uncontrolled access to network resources are discussed, together with the associated social and legal implications. Commercially available products which provide protection against viruses, hostile Java applets and ActiveX controls are also reviewed. |
