Description

The Mechanical Cooling Cycle Fundamentals section will provide the apprentice with both theory and practical training.  Course provides the apprentice with the ability to describe the structure of matter, molecular motion, work and energy, thermal energy and the change of state, laws of physics that relate to vapours and gases.  In addition, the curriculum ensures that the apprentice is able to describe operating principles and function, temperatures and pressures a mechanical cooling cycle and procedures for plotting a mechanical cooling cycle in a mollier diagram.  Furthermore, the curriculum highlights application of various refrigerants, the utilization of cylinders or containers to transport or store refrigerants and the application of various refrigeration lubricants.
