| Description | This course will build on your prior knowledge and skills as an RN in your role as effective communicator in establishing and maintaining a helping relationship with clients and families. Expand your communication skills in relation to clients with oncological needs throughout the phases of illness. Effective communication strategies and principles of teaching and learning as well as factors affecting coping, the helping relationship will be discussed and applied. Patient advocacy and ethical decision-making are integral components of the course. |
