Description

This course will enable students to study the role of a courtroom clerk/registrar for civil, small claims and criminal court cases in the Superior Court of Justice. Students will learn courtroom decorum, conduct, pre-court, post-court and in court responsibilities, in accordance with Ministry-approved procedures, practices and guidelines. Students will learn how to administer various court proclamations and oaths required in court proceedings. Exhibit marking, handling and control, as well as obtaining an understanding of the jury selection process as it relates to civil and criminal proceeding, are also part of this course.
